Wheat Quality


North Dakota wheat is known for its high quality, for which customers are willing to pay a premium. At NDSU, varieties must meet certain quality parameters before they can be released for commercial production. This analysis is done at the spring wheat and durum quality labs on the NDSU campus. One of the most important marketing tools the commission uses with customers is the annual crop quality survey. Samples are collected from the region and analyzed at NDSU.
