Middle Eastern Angel Hair Pasta Hot Honey Cakes
Rose Ruud, Fargo, ND

8 ounces angel hair, capellini or vermicelli
1 egg, beaten
cup whipping cream
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon sugar
4 tablespoons cooking oil
cup butter
1 cup honey
teaspoon cinnamon

Break pasta into 2 to 3-inch pieces. Cook according to package directions. Drain well.
In large bowl, mix pasta, egg, cream, allspice, nutmeg and sugar. Shape into 8 patties 1-inch thick.

In large skillet heat oil. Place patties in pan. Lightly brown one side, turn and brown the other side. Keep warm.

In small pan warm butter, honey and cinnamon. Drizzle honey topping over pasta patties. Serve warm with pork sausage links.

Makes 4 servings of 2 patties each.
