Chicken Siesta Twist

1 pound rotini pasta
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 packet taco seasoning, divided
2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1/2 green or red bell pepper, sliced
10-ounce can tomatoes with green chilies
sour cream or low-fat sour cream
chopped green onions

Cook pasta as directed on package; drain. Mix garlic powder and all but 1 teaspoon taco seasoning; toss the garlic-taco mixture with cubed chicken. Spray medium skillet with cooking spray; brown the chicken, add bell peppers and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Drain pasta, toss with remaining taco seasoning. Top with chicken mixture, sour cream and chopped green onions.

Serves 4 to 5.
