Hearty Fettucine Ham & Bean Soup

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup canned chunky tomato sauce (Italian)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup diced, cooked ham
4 cups canned no-fat, low-salt chicken broth, divided
15-ounce can garbanzo beans, drained, divided
4 ounces fettuccine (broken in thirds), elbows or rotini
Parmesan cheese

Heat oil in saucepan over medium heat. Add tomatoes, garlic and ham. Simmer 5 minutes. Add 3 cups broth; stir to blend. Puree remaining broth and 1 cup garbanzo beans in blender. Add to saucepan; add remaining garbanzo beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add pasta; cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Serve, passing Parmesan cheese separately.
