Bacon Onion Cheese Bread

¼ pound bacon
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup Cheddar cheese
1¼ cup water
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3½ cups bread flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons active dry yeast or 1½ teaspoons fast rise yeast

Over medium heat, fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan, drain on paper towel
and crumble. Drain all but 1 tablespoon fat from pan and sauté onion until
transparent and lightly browned.

Place ingredients in baking pan in order suggested by your bread
machine's instruction manual. Bacon, onion and cheese may be added at same time as
water. Do not use delayed time bake cycle.

Makes 1 large loaf.
