Meal In A Bun

Ingredients
2 pounds frozen bread dough
1 recipe tostado or pizza filling (see below)

Instructions
Thaw dough until warm. On lightly floured board, roll each 1-pound loaf into a
12 x 12 inch square. Cut each into nine 4 x 4 inch pieces.
On each square, spoon 2 tablespoons of filling. Pick up corners of each square
and pinch together. Pinch each diagonal seam so edges are well sealed. Place on
baking sheet coated with non-stick spray.* Bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Serve
warm. Left-overs may be frozen; wrap in foil and reheat at 350 degrees for
20 minutes or until hot in center.

Makes 18 buns.

May be frozen and placed
in airtight container. To serve, place on baking sheet coated with non-stick spray
and bake at 350 degrees until browned, about 35 minutes.

Tostado Filling:
1 pound extra lean
ground beef
1/4 cup minced onion
1 single package taco seasoning mix
 

 
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 cup
shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook ground beef and onion over medium heat, until beef is no
longer pink; drain thoroughly. Stir in taco seasoning, tomato sauce and cheese.

Pizza Filling:

1/4 cup minced onion
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Cook
ground beef and onion over medium heat, until beef is no longer pink; drain
thoroughly. Stir in pizza sauce and cheese.
