Cream Cheese Fruit Torte

1 pound frozen sweet dough, softened
8 ounces non-fat cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
16 ounces canned, sliced apricots, peaches or apples
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sliced almonds, optional

Divide dough into two portions. Roll each portion into a circle to fit a
9 inch pie pan. Place dough into a pan coated with non-stick spray, working
with fingers to fit pan. Dough should come up along the sides slightly.

cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg and vanilla together; spread on dough to within
1/2 inch of edge. Place fruit over cream cheese mixture. Combine 1/3 cup sugar
and cinnamon; sprinkle over fruit. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 25
minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan onto cooling rack; cut in wedges
and serve.


Makes two tortes.
