Crust-On-The-Top Pizza

Ingredients
1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed and risen
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion, or to taste
14 ounces pizza sauce
4 ounces canned mushrooms, drained
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper, or to taste
teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
teaspoon dried oregano leaves
teaspoon dried basil leaves
2 cups mozzarella cheese
cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

 
Brown ground beef and onions until meat is no longer pink;
drain. Add sauce, mushrooms, salt, pepper, garlic salt, oregano and basil.
Mix and pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with mozzarella
cheese.

Roll dough or press with fingers into a 9x13-inch rectangle. If
dough is too elastic, cover and let rest 10 minutes. Place
over meat and cheese mixture. Cut several slits in dough to
allow steam to escape. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake in a preheated
375-degree oven 30 to 35 minutes or until dough is a
golden brown.

Makes eight 3 x 4 1/2-inch pieces
