About the Commission
Research and Customer Service

Experimental wheat varieties are injected with scab fungus to screen for resistance.
The Commission helps ensure that North Dakota wheat meets both producer and customer demands by supplementing state and federal funding for wheat research at North Dakota State University. Projects receiving Commission support are designed to improve the end-use performance of North Dakota grown wheats, to make them more price competitive, or to solve problems that limit current marketing efforts.
