Programs
Creating Conditions to Sell More Wheat
Average annual use of both U.S. hard red spring and durum wheat has more than tripled since the beginning of the North Dakota wheat checkoff. Seventeen other states have also implemented wheat checkoff programs and North Dakota works cooperatively with them to expand wheat usage by building bigger markets.
The checkoff program cannot claim responsibility for the entire increase in spring wheat and durum usage, but certainly North Dakota Wheat Commission efforts must be given some measure of credit.
The North Dakota Wheat Commission divides its work and invests checkoff funds in the five basic areas to the left. Select each one to read further information.
